Imagine gathering in one place where you can sample a variety of cheeses, sausages, and French wines with some rustic breads and chocolates thrown in for good mix. This delicious event was Lille's Wine & Gastronomy Fair. We had a great time Sunday sampling different wines, cheeses, and sausages.
The variety of sausages was just crazy!
My favorite stand by far was the herb & tea vendor. The herb mixes looked & smelled so delicious I wanted to buy them all. Although I'm not an avid tea drinker just smelling these teas made me want to buy them! Some of the teas that stood out were the chocolate & cherry tea as well as a Hawaiian floral mix tea. Smelled heavenly!
The Gerwurtztraminer wines from the Alsace were my favorite. We walked
away with a few bottles of this wine along with a Rose that Steve wanted to try. And of course we couldn't go home without some cheese & sausage. I can't wait to try out my herbs mixes too... Herbs de Provence, a unique Italian and vegetable blend and some pretty pink salt crystals.
Wonderful pictures! This is one of the real perks of living in Europe.
