This year I'm all about planning ahead. I want the next few months to be relaxing so in keeping with my goal I started working on Lil' C's birthday invitations. I'm really happy with the results. The basic idea is from an invitation I saw online with a few changes of my own. I decided to put a red strip in front and include a magic instruction card that holds a 7 of hearts with the party details. I also outlined the top hat with red glitter because really doesn't everything look more festive with a sprinkle of glitter. lol! The biggest difference... these cards didn't set me back $55 dollars for just 10 invites.
The Bunny looks much cuter in person. His ears and cheek have a light dusting of pink chalk to brighten him up. When you pull the Bunny out he's is holding a magic instructions card.
When you open the card, you'll find a seven of hearts with the party details. I also included some star confetti inside the envelopes for fun. I love the way they turned out.
This whole magic theme came about a few months ago when I asked Lil C what he wanted to do for his birthday & he said, "I want to have a magic party."
When I asked him why he chose magic he said, "Because some of my friends don't believe in magic and I want to show them that magic is real."
Can you imagine... 5 & 6 year olds not believing in magic? That's crazy talk! So now C & I are on a mission to convince his friends that magic really does exist. ;)

So cute! Love the invites. Glad to see you've still got the crafting bug. :-) Happy birthday to Lil C! Wow--7 years old, how time flies.

Hi Susan,
Yes, I definitely still have the crafting bug it's just finding the time to do it. I'm trying to set aside one day a week for crafts but it hasn't been going so well lately. lol!

Adorable invitation! I just got done with my daughter's invitations too--I think our kids share the same birthday--but they certainly aren't as cute as these. We're doing a Groovy 60's party. Wishing Lil' C a magical birthday!
